Michael Braxton
Michael "Magic Hands" Braxton's first memory of massage is one of massaging his grandmother's feet after returning home from the hospital where she worked as a nurse. Her pleased look would resonate through his life as a constant reminder of the healing power of touch. Mike studied therapeutic massage at High Tech Institute in Sacramento and sharpened his technique at several spas and chiropractic offices before moving to the Bay Area. By 2008 Mike started taking on his own clients while working full-time for The Ritz-Carlton and Marriot Spas in San Francisco. Mike is pleased to join the Satori community offering theraputic massage with "magic hands".

Marie Murphy
Marie's intention as a bodyworker is to help you feel more at home and at ease within the entirety of the organism that is your Self. She specializes in Jin Shin Acutouch, a gentle form of energetic bodywork that rebalances and invigorates the body’s vital energy, or qi (“chi”). A Jin Shin session will leave you feeling simultaneously relaxed yet energized, and more connected to yourself and the world around you. Marie also employs a blend of techniques from various modalities including Swedish, Tui Na, Sensory Repatterning, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Deep Tissue Sculpting for sessions with a more musculoskeletal emphasis. Each session is tailored to each client’s unique needs, but every session is geared towards helping the client feel relaxed, integrated, grounded, and whole. The benefits of receiving regular bodywork are many – reduced tension, aches, and pains; better sleep; a stronger immune system; decreased anxiety; and of course… a new sense of body awareness that can take your yoga practice to new levels. Yoga helps us achieve a state of active relaxation, and bodywork helps us learn to be more receptive and engage in passive relaxation. See for yourself what the combination of yoga and bodywork can do to enhance your quality of life!
Marie received her Holistic Health Practitioner certification from the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego and haa been a practicing bodyworker since 2006. She has worked extensively with clients going through or recovering from cancer treatment, clients living with HIV/AIDS and, of course, clients who are relatively healthy and want to manage their stress levels. She also teaches yoga, and believes that practicing yoga and receiving bodywork regularly creates a great foundation for happiness and wellbeing.
